February 12, 2011 Anne Kenyon will present a one-day workshop on underpainting. The workshop will run from 9-4 with a registration fee of $20 and a small materials fee. It will be held in the Community Center in Boalsburg. Registration is required as we need 5 artists signed up to hold the class and it will be "capped" at 12. Register by emailing fosterfineart@verizon.net before January 31. Snow date 2/26/11.
March 18, 2011 This is a 9-4 Friday member-led workshop being presented by Kim Flick on the Characteristics of Color. Topics for consideration: Inherent hue, value scales, color properties and temperatures, local color, color families, position on the wheel and the power of color within cultural contexts and its psychological associations regarding emotive responses in both a general audience and personal symbolism. The fee is $20 for the day and will take place at the Community Center on Academy Street in Boalsburg. We will need a minimum of 5 artists and the workshop will be "capped" at 12. Please register by March 10 with fosterfineart@verizon.net to reserve a spot and receive workshop information.
April 1, 2011 Susan Nicholas Gephart will present a member-led workshop on Making Connections. New paintings will be created using your photos, sketches, and ideas. The fee is $20 for the day and workshop will take place at the Community Center in Boalsburg from 9-4. Registration is required. To register and receive workshop information, email fosterfineart@verizon.net before March 25, 2011.

Jeff is a master pastelist with the Pastel Society of America with experience in landscape, still life and portraiture. He is professor of art at Susquehanna University with competition, gallery and publication experience. Jeff will be conducting a still life demonstration with discussions revolving around his experiences and technique with pastel. He will also bring along some examples of his most recent works.
