March
Happenings
Art Talk Social
On March 24th something special is
planned for the Society, according to Susan Nicholas Gephart, activities
chair. An Art Talk social from 1-3p.m. will give members a time to talk about
art, socialize and get to know each other better. Susan invites you to bring a friend and a
snack. A variety of drinks will be
available. She also suggests car pooling
as parking on Bishop Street
can be limited at times. Her address is 351
E. Bishop St., Bellefonte. Please RSVP by email.
Elks Club Show
The Elks Club Show has been
cancelled because of renovations being done to the club.
April
Happenings
Regular Meeting
In April, we will have our
regular meeting on Sunday, the 30th, at 1:30p.m. at the Senior
Center. The time was changed because of a conflict
with the Carsten workshop. Linda
Schimmel, program chair, has invited a representative from Dick Blick to bring
pastel materials to our meeting for us to touch, sample and buy. Our volunteer webmaster has put in a link to
the Blick site on our calendar of events.
Bring a friend.
New York City Bus Trip
The trip to the Metropolitan
Museum is being advertised in the
CDT in an effort to meet the required number of people. Responses need to be made to mtrask@adelphia.net by the end of
March. If we do not have enough
passengers, the trip will be cancelled and people will be notified either by
phone or email.

May Happenings
Robert K. Carsten Workshop
The Carsten
workshop is full and a waiting list has been started. Please remember that the balance of the workshop
fee is due by the end of March. Also,
the site has been changed from the armory to the community room at the Nittany
Mall.
2007
Maggie Price Workshop
Even though this workshop is scheduled for July 30-August 3, 2007, people are already calling
and asking for information. Maggie Price
advertises her workshops nationally and has stated that ours will be the only
one in the Mid-Atlantic Region in 2007.
If any of our Society members are interested in this workshop, they
should establish their reservation by mailing in a deposit as soon as
possible. All pertinent information is
on the registration form and can be downloaded from the website. There will be a class limit of 12 students
and then a waiting list will be started.
I have had three inquiries already, so I think the slots will go fast.
